Conservation Officer Suspended For Rescuing And Not Killing Two Bear Cubs

Bryce Casavant, a B.C. conservation officer found himself suspended from his job and without any income after he did the honorable thing.

Mr. Casavant was an officer dispatched after a call about two black bear cubs roaming the residential area in Port Hardy. The cubs were in the area because they were looking for their mom who had been euthanized after repeatedly raiding the nearby freezers for food. However when the order came to kill the babies too, this amazing man sent them to an animal hospital instead and they’re now safe and sound in a Wildlife Recovery Center. Unfortunately, Casavant was suspended for his disobedience.

There’s one thing his employers didn’t count on though, and that’s the support of animal lovers around the world. Just watch.
