People who do this to their pets deserve the worst kind of punishment. Dogs have incredible inner strength that comes from trust they have in humans and it’s heartbreaking when people let them down. As emotional as pooches are a betrayal can leave deep scars that can last for the rest of their lives.
After Hurricane Harvey hit Houston people kept finding dogs who were left behind by their owners. This poor pup was forced to swim in the backyard, in waist deep of 4-feet of water, for over three days. I just couldn’t believe how strong this incredible dog is, but I was blown away when I saw that only a few minutes after being rescued he began wagging his tail. How amazing that after being left behind by his owners, he never lost faith in human kindness.
