A human jumping into a big ape enclosure may bring back some recent memories but this amazing video have nothing to do with Harambe. Actually it happened several years ago and unlike the Harambe incident, the human actually saved this ape.
It all happened at the Detroit zoo in a newly opened chimpanzee exhibit. While running away from a stronger, dominant male, one chimp fell into a 6 foot deep moat surrounding the enclosure. Since chimps don’t swim he started drowning and that’s when one father of 3 did the unimaginable and risked his own safety to save the animal’s life.
