If you want your kids to adopt the right values and develop into amazing human beings have them connect with animals. Not only does it teach them how to care for and respect others, it also creates beautiful memories that can last a lifetime. Laura and Jeremy Miner grew up on a farm and even though they live in another place now, they found the way for their children to get acquainted with the life on the farm and connect with their roots.
They do it by borrowing animals for the summer and taking care of them and that is how one amazing photograph was made. Their son Mitchell Miner and his cow Audri recently participated in the Iowa State Fair dairy cattle show and after finishing fifth they decided to take a nap. They looked so cute, snuggled side by side, so Jeremy took a photo of them and it went viral with more than 15,000 likes by the next day.
The boy’s mother explained how they created such a strong bond saying: “I think it’s just when you spend that much time with them, they get really comfortable”. After the showings Audri will be heading back to the dairy farm and I am sure she and Mitchel will be looking forward to the next summer.
Even though they didn’t win, they got a much more important prize – amazing friendship and love.
